Getting started

Taplany is where your agency's website, inquiries, proposals, bookings, payments and messages all live. This page takes you from a blank signup form to knowing your way around the admin.

Create your account

You sign up for yourself first, then create the agency.

  1. Go to app.taplany.com and choose Create account.
  2. Fill in Your name, Work email and a Password (at least 8 characters), then tick the terms checkbox.
  3. Press Create account. You'll see a Check your inbox screen.
  4. Open the verification link we email you. If it hasn't arrived in a minute, check your spam folder.

If a colleague invited you to an existing agency, the email address is filled in and locked — it has to match the address the invitation went to. Verify your email, accept the invitation, and you're in. There's no agency to create; skip to Find your way around.

Set up your agency

After you verify your email, you land on Set up your agency. It asks for two things:

  • Agency name — what your team and your customers will see.
  • Slug — a short, lowercase version of the name, used internally. It's filled in for you from the agency name, and you can edit it. Your public web address is separate and comes later.

Press Create agency & start 30-day trial. Your trial starts at that moment and runs for 30 days. There's no card to enter to begin, and nothing you set up in the trial is throwaway — it's your real agency.

Everything on this screen can be changed later in Settings.

Find your way around

The left sidebar groups the admin into six sections. It's worth a slow read once:

  • Overview — Dashboard and Tasks.
  • Sales — Inquiries, Departures, Bookings, Customers, Travelers, Transport and eSIM. This is the day-to-day pipeline.
  • Catalog — Trips, Accommodations, Activities, Blocks, Destinations and Suppliers. The reusable pieces you build trips from.
  • Communications — Messages, Notifications, Message templates, Message sequences and Newsletter.
  • Content — Blog, FAQs and Redirects, for what appears on your public site.
  • System — Users and Settings.

Some items only appear if your role allows them. See Your team & billing for what each role can reach.

Your dashboard

Overview → Dashboard opens on two blocks.

Performance follows the time window you pick at the top: Inquiries, Conversion rate, Bookings, Revenue, Confirmed bookings and Avg booking value, each compared against the previous window. Below them sit Payment links, Traffic sources and Inquiries by country.

Operations ignores that window and shows current workload: Recent bookings, Upcoming departures and Upcoming private bookings. Download report exports the numbers as a spreadsheet.

Both are empty on day one. They fill in as real inquiries arrive.

A sensible first week

You don't have to do all of this at once, and you don't have to do it alone — if you're moving an existing catalogue across, talk to us and we'll bring it over with you.

  1. Make the site look like your agency: Your website & brand.
  2. Build one trip end to end: Trips, tiers & departures.
  3. Decide how you'll get paid: Taking payments.
  4. Connect the channels your customers already use: WhatsApp & the inbox.
  5. Invite your colleagues: Your team & billing.
